About the Brewery
Coco Farm Winery began with a vineyard that was cultivated in 1960, Kokoromi Gakuen was established in 1960, and the winery was born in 1971. The vineyard is currently in its 66th year of cultivation, and Kokoromi Gakuen students are actively participating in the wine-making process. The winery works hand in hand with the local community, with the hope of producing wine for peaceful moments. The field was cultivated in 1958 by students from Ashikaga Municipal Third Junior High School, and is currently managed by Kokoromi Gakuen. Despite being on a steep slope, the site faces southwest with good sunlight, and has good drainage, creating conditions suitable for growing grapes. Weeding is done by hand without using herbicides, in an environment where flowers, insects, and birds coexist harmoniously. We continue to cherish our daily work while feeling the joy of working in such a natural environment.
