About the Brewery
L'Escargot is located in Echizenhama, Nishikan Ward, Niigata City, in an area rich in nature surrounded by Mt. Kakuda and the Sea of Japan. We started growing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in 2007, and started wine production in 2012. At L'Escargot, we aim to make wine that is rooted in Japan's climate and food culture, and in addition to Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Blanc, we also use table grapes such as Muscat Bailey A and Kyoho. Emphasizing natural structure, the unfiltered finish maximizes the power of the fruit.
