About the Brewery
Fermier is a winery founded in 2006 that takes advantage of the sandy soil of Echizenhama, Nishikan Ward, Niigata City. The grapes grown in the sand dunes brought by the Shinano River produce a mineral-rich flavor, giving this Japanese wine its unique character as a delicate and elegant wine. Varieties such as Albariño, in particular, are influenced by the sea breeze and climate unique to this region, and have a unique elegance and lingering finish.
We carry out everything from grape cultivation to winemaking, using methods that maximize the characteristics of the grapes while respecting nature. In brewing, we value natural fermentation and manual labor, pursuing a manufacturing method that does not stress the wine. Aiming to create unique fine wines that reflect Niigata's terroir, we continue to create Japanese wines that can be proud of around the world.
