About the Brewery
Cantina Geoset is a winery founded in 2011 in Kakudahama in the western part of Niigata City. The founder, Kiyoshi Seto, moved to Niigata after a 26-year career in the advertising industry. I learned about grape cultivation and winemaking at Curve Dodge Winery, and in 2013 I obtained a license to produce fruit liquor.
The farm we manage (our own farm) is 1.0 hectares. Cultivated varieties are specialized in red wine grapes such as Zweigelt, Nebbiolo, Barbera, Lambrusco and Cabernet Sauvignon. Planting began in 2012, and the farm's first wine was released in 2014. Mr. Seto handles everything from grape cultivation to brewing, and his annual production goal is 20,000 bottles.
Cantina Giosetto's wines are characterized by their unique flavors, created by the nature of the Sea of Japan and the passion of our founder.
