About the Brewery
Cave D'occi is a residential winery located at the foot of Mt. Kakuda in Niigata City. Founded in 1992, we planted wine grapes in the sand dunes of Niigata, and since then we have been producing "Japanese wine" using 100% locally grown grapes. The winery is equipped with restaurants, bakeries, hot spring facilities, and accommodation facilities, providing an environment where visitors can spend a rich time while enjoying winemaking and nature.
While pursuing unique wines that take advantage of Niigata's unique terroir, such as its sandy soil and sea breezes, they also develop new experiments such as natural wines and the "Animal Series" while valuing classical methods. The Albariño grape is particularly suited to this region and is highly valued for its aroma and taste.
Cave D'occi is spreading the culture of enjoying Japanese wine in everyday life by pursuing a variety of wine styles, including everything from grape cultivation to brewing and sales.
