Gomaibasi

Located in a hilly area on the east bank of the Kitakami River in the south of Morioka City, Gomaibashi Winery, which was established by a couple as an independent winery in 2001, pursues the production of high-quality wine that takes advantage of the terroir of the land. Taking advantage of the region's strong apple cultivation, we started with apple wine and also developed a series of ciders and fruit wines. In 2005, we began selling red wine made from our own Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, and have continued to produce small quantities to improve quality. We continue to pour our passion into the never-ending pursuit of quality, aiming to produce wines that the local community can be proud of.
