About the Brewery
10R is a custom crush winery (contract brewery) that produces high-quality wine using only Hokkaido grapes. This system, which is common in Europe and America, may not yet be widely known in Japan, but 10R is working with local grape farmers to maximize Hokkaido's potential as a wine producing region. That's what I'm aiming for.
10R is a place where multiple producers gather to make wine based on their own cultivation philosophies and techniques. Each producer collects grapes from different fields and manufactures according to their various philosophies, but what they have in common is an emphasis on ``making things that are left to nature.'' On the other hand, they also enjoy expressing themselves through winemaking, which is why they produce wines that all have different flavors and personalities, even if they have the 10R logo on them.
In 2012, it became the birthplace of wines from multiple producers, including Coco Farm Winery, Kamihoro Wine, Kondo Vineyard, Nakazawa Vineyard, and Takizawa Wine.
