About the Brewery
Fujioka Sake Brewery is a sake brewery founded in 1902 in Fushimi, Kyoto. Its history was temporarily interrupted, but it was revived in 2002 through the efforts of the fifth generation brewer, Masaaki Fujioka. After its revival, the brewer himself became the chief brewer and created a new brand, ``Aozora.'' The name of this brand reflects our wish to create a drink that makes the drinker feel kind.
All sake produced by Fujioka Sake Brewery is pure rice sake, carefully brewed by hand using Fushimi's famous water and high-quality sake rice. In particular, Aozora's "silky smooth taste" is due to Fushimi's highest quality water, which is pumped from a well dug 100 meters. By handcrafting all of our drinks using the same method, we pay close attention to detail and achieve consistent high quality.
