Maruo Honten is a historic sake brewery that was founded in 1885 and is located in Kotohira-cho, Nakatado-gun, Kagawa Prefecture. It is characterized by its attitude of challenging modern sake brewing while valuing traditional methods. The rice is steamed using wooden kettles and Japanese pots to produce high-quality steamed rice, and the production of everything from Junmai Daiginjo to Junmai sake is done without any compromise and with no effort spared.

All sake is finished unfiltered, without using any charcoal, in pursuit of a natural taste. We make the most of the local natural environment and traditional techniques to offer unique drinks unique to Maruo Honten.
