About the Brewery

Miura Sake Brewery is a sake brewery in Aomori Prefecture that was founded in 1930 and incorporated in 2007. This family-run brewery uses clean underground water from Mt. Iwaki and Mt. Akakura and high-quality rice suitable for sake brewing through contract cultivation, and is particular about careful small-scale preparations that allow you to see the face of the brewer.
At the sake brewing site, craftsmen such as the chief brewer, head, kojiya, motoya, kamaya, rice miller, and workers all play roles, and it is said that good sake is produced when all of them work together as one. This spirit is called ``Japanese sake'' and forms the basis of sake brewing.
Miura Sake Brewery continues to take on challenges while inheriting the wisdom accumulated by its predecessors in sake brewing, where rice and water are vital. Rooted in the region, we preserve tradition and pursue new possibilities for sake.
