About the Brewery

In 1716 (first year of Kyoho), the fourth generation of the Fujimura family started a sake brewing business under the influence of Omi merchants in Chikusei City (formerly Akeno Town), Ibaraki Prefecture, under the brands of "Raifuku" and "Bandai". I did. In 1936, the oldest steel brewery in the prefecture was built, and in 1971, it became a corporation, and Raifuku Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. was born from the Fujimura head family. In 2006, under the 10th generation of the family, we shifted to employee production, and in 1999 we began contract cultivation of local rice suitable for sake brewing, and we have been using flower yeast since 2003. In 2016, which marks the 300th anniversary of our founding, we are continuing our tradition while also challenging ourselves to create new wines using flower yeast.
