Takahata Winery is a winery that produces high quality wines against the backdrop of the rich nature and agricultural traditions of Takahata Town, Yamagata Prefecture. By utilizing grape varieties unique to Takahata Town, such as Chardonnay and Delaware, and using all ingredients locally, we strive to create unique wines that reflect the local climate. Inside the facility, you can see the storage tanks and filling equipment through glass, and in the underground cellar you can see how Chardonnay is fermented and aged in barrels. Seven varieties of European grapes, including Pinot Noir, are grown in the adjacent farm, and you can enjoy the scenery that changes with the seasons. Takahata Winery is loved by many tourists as a place that communicates the charm of the region through wine culture and provides a special experience to visitors.
