"Ohsako Sato Vineyard" is a new private winery that was established in Osako-cho, Hanamaki City, Iwate Prefecture in 2021, and has adopted a domaine style that carries out everything from grape cultivation to brewing. Using only healthy, locally grown grapes, we offer wines with clear, cool acidity and fruit flavors. Osako Town in Iwate Prefecture has a cool climate with large temperature differences and receives more than 1,000 hours of sunlight per year, and is blessed with calcareous soil, making it suitable for grape cultivation. Taking advantage of this environment, we grow grapes with high sugar content and organic acids, creating a unique flavor. In addition, the owner of the farm leveraged his experience as a former engineer to introduce smart agriculture. We have built a unique cultivation management system based on weather data and cultivation history, and are working on efficient grape cultivation.
