Funky Chateau began growing grapes in 2008 and completed its own winery in 2011. We make no compromises in everything from cultivation to brewing, using natural fermentation, no filtration, and no fining, and by minimizing human intervention and additives, we create wine that brings out the unique characteristics of the region. We own approximately 4 hectares of vineyards in Aoki Village and approximately 3 hectares in the Higashiyama district of Ueda City, and produce wine that is in harmony with nature.
