Sainte Neige Wine is committed to producing high-quality wine using 100% Japanese grapes, based on the belief that "good wine comes from good grapes." The company's roots date back to 1947 at a brewery established on the outskirts of Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, and in 1972 they adopted the French name ``Saintenege,'' meaning ``sacred snow,'' as their brand name. We produce wines that make the most of the characteristics of the region, such as Koshu, a grape variety unique to Japan, and European varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The winery is characterized by its winemaking style, which uses grapes grown in carefully selected production areas, mainly in the Kofu Basin of Yamanashi Prefecture and Kaminoyama City, Yamagata Prefecture, and works together with local producers. As a result, we have won numerous awards at domestic and international wine competitions, and have received high praise from the Japan Wine Challenge and Decanter World Wine Awards. We aim to further develop Japanese wine by pursuing delicate and harmonious flavors that reflect Japan's nature and climate, and by providing wines that go well with Japanese food.
