Shirokane Sake Brewery is the oldest shochu brewery in Kagoshima Prefecture, founded in 1869 (Meiji 2). The company manufactures and sells authentic shochu, liqueurs, and spirits at three locations: the Ishikura, a nationally registered tangible cultural property that still retains the vestiges of its founding, the Shigetomi Head Office Factory, and the Hiramatsu Factory. For all of our products, we use the "polished potato preparation" method, in which the main raw material, sweet potatoes, is carefully polished and the skin and stems are removed by hand, ensuring the production of safe and reliable products. While adhering to traditional manufacturing methods, we aim to create shochu that is more unique and brings out the characteristics of the raw materials through preparation using special varieties of sweet potatoes and unique formulations. Furthermore, we are focusing on developing liqueurs based on potato shochu so that young people in their 20s and 30s and those who are new to potato shochu can enjoy it. We provide products that can be enjoyed in a variety of situations, and continue to produce sake that combines tradition and innovation.
