Oguchi Sake Brewery, located in Isa City, Kagoshima Prefecture, is home to Koriyama Hachiman Shrine, where Japan's oldest document with the characters for shochu was discovered, and is located in an area known as the ``hometown of shochu.'' Isa City is a producing region of delicious "Isamai", has a natural environment surrounded by clear streams and mountains, and is blessed with a cold climate in winter, which is also known as "Kagoshima's Hokkaido", making it the ideal conditions for making shochu. All are available. In 1970, 11 local shochu breweries established a cooperative association, and Oguchi Sake Brewery was born with Isa Nishiki as its representative brand. In 1987, we released ``Kuro Isa Nishiki,'' which uses black koji malt, and it was well received. In 2007, we changed our organization to a stock company, which we continue to do today. Oguchi Sake Brewery produces a variety of shochu, including ``Isa Nishiki,'' ``Kuro Isa Nishiki,'' and ``Isamai,'' which uses locally produced Isamai rice. Our shochu, which combines traditional techniques and modern manufacturing methods and uses carefully selected ingredients, has a deep flavor. The passion for making shochu, which is nurtured in harmony with the nature of Isa City, is loved by many people.
