Unkai Sake Brewery takes advantage of the rich natural environment of Izumi, one of the most famous water areas in Kyushu, to produce authentic shochu. In 2000, we took over a traditional brewery with a 100-year history and began production as Unkai Sake Brewery Izumi Brewery. The raw material is sweet potatoes from southern Kyushu, and the pure natural water grown in the rich forests of Mt. Shio, the famous peak of Hokusatsu, is used as the brewing water. By fusing local blessings and traditional techniques, we are working to create authentic potato shochu that is loved by the locals. Unkai Sake Brewery aims to further spread Kyushu's shochu culture and pass it on to the next generation, with a commitment to making shochu in harmony with the local nature.
