Yamamoto Sake Brewery is a long-established brewery founded in 1912 and located in Satsumasendai City, Kagoshima Prefecture. The name comes from Jinguji Godai-in of Nitta Shrine, which is a symbol of the area, and we have inherited the taste of history and tradition through our representative brand, ``Satsuma Godai''. ``Satsuma Godai'' is loved by many drinkers and is known for conveying the charm of potato shochu. Since its founding, Yamamoto Sake Brewery has continued to pursue the flavor of authentic potato shochu. We use carefully selected fresh sweet potatoes as raw materials, and use famous water from the foothills of Mt. Gwanak for brewing water. In particular, at handmade factories, we respect the traditional techniques of the master brewers when preparing our products, and adhere to traditional manufacturing methods. While valuing tradition, we incorporate optimal distillation methods and the latest technology to provide shochu that brings out the original flavor of potatoes to the fullest. Yamamoto Sake Brewery continues to grow together with the local culture while striving for a harmony between tradition and innovation.
