Satsuma Sake Brewery is a brewery in Makurazaki City, Kagoshima Prefecture, founded in 1936. The representative brand "Satsuma Shiranami" supported the first shochu boom in the late 1970s and became a pioneer of authentic shochu. Currently, we manufacture and sell a wide variety of products, including ``Kuro Shiranami'', ``Sakura Shiranami'', and long-term storage barley shochu ``Kamikawa''. All of our distilleries are located near sweet potato fields, and we carefully make shochu using fresh sweet potatoes as raw materials. Shuichi Komine, the head of the manufacturing division, works with farmers to cultivate gentle soil and produce high-quality koji, and values ​​the production of shochu in an environmentally friendly way.
