"Masumi", brewed by Miyasaka Sake Brewery, is a famous sake from Suwa City, Nagano Prefecture, with a history of over 350 years. Its origins date back to 1662, when the Miyasaka family, who were vassals of the Suwa family, put down their swords and turned to sake brewing. Since our founding, successive generations of brewers have continued to innovate without losing their passion for sake brewing, despite overcoming challenges. In 1919, Chisato Kubota was hired as the chief brewer, and he pursued quality improvements. In 1943, it won first place at the National Sake Appraisal Association, and was in the spotlight as a sake brewery in Shinshu. Furthermore, in 1946, ``Kyokai No. 7 Yeast'' was discovered in the brewery, and it spread to sake breweries across the country as the foundation of Japanese sake, and had a great influence. In 1982, he established Shinzo in Fujimi. Since 1999, we have made full-fledged expansion into the global market and are spreading the word about Japanese sake culture. In 2019, we decided to return to our roots and innovate with No. 7 yeast as our core, aiming to create high-quality sake to accompany meals. "Masumi" continues to evolve as a famous sake that combines tradition and challenge.
