Kiyashou Sake Brewery began in the late Edo period when the first Mr. Shohachi Onishi took over the sake brewery ``Hotiya'' and changed the name from ``Kiyamasa'', which he had used as a lumber dealer, as the trade name. The store and main building has been recognized for its historical value and has been designated as a registered tangible cultural property. For a long time, they produced ``Takasago'' and ``Takaichi Masamune'' and expanded their business mainly in the Iga region, but in 2005, the 6th generation brewer, Mr. Yukatsu Onishi, launched a new brand, ``Jikon.'' “Jima” is distributed to local sake specialty stores across the country, and has quickly gained high praise among sake fans. Although the brewery is small in size, it is committed to quality-focused sake brewing, and continues to take on new challenges while consistently preserving tradition.
