The island of Iki, located in the Genkai Sea, is a place with a rich history that is mentioned in the Gaishi Wajinden.Since around the 16th century, barley shochu has been made using inherited techniques, taking advantage of the rich harvest of rice and barley. In 1900, the first generation, Mr. Kasuke Nagata, moved from Kokura and began making Iki's traditional barley shochu. Since then, over the course of four generations, we have continued to maintain consistent quality no matter the times. The representative brand, ``Iki no Hana,'' is an island-style sake made using atmospheric distillation and aging, and is characterized by its gorgeous aroma and rich, mellow taste. We also have a variety of other brands that give you a feel of Iki's climate, such as ``Kasuke Daisho'', ``Showa Shikomi'', and ``Kahiden Golden''.
