Sagara Sake Brewery is a long-established shochu brewery in Kagoshima Prefecture, founded in 1730 by the first generation Mr. Nakaemon Sagara. With its roots in the Sagara domain in Hitoyoshi, Kumamoto Prefecture, the company has been working on making shochu while preserving traditions that have continued since the Edo period. Having overcome numerous hardships such as the Seinan War, the eruption of Sakurajima, and the air raids of the Pacific War, the company continues to make shochu, which is small in scale but still emphasizes manual labor. Our main products include ``Sagara'', which uses carefully selected Kogane Sengan, and ``Sagara Nakaemon'', which bears the name of the founder, and each has a unique flavor that is supported by many fans.
