Chateau Jun is a winery that grows grapes and produces wine in the area centered around Katsunuma Town in the Kofu Basin of Yamanashi Prefecture. This area, which spreads over an alluvial fan at an altitude of approximately 300 meters, has a large temperature difference between day and night and is characterized by well-drained soil, and has been known as a famous place for grape cultivation since the Edo period. In addition to its own three vineyards, Chateau Jun grows grapes in cooperation with contracted farmers, producing a variety of grape varieties including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Koshu native to Japan, and Semillon grown in Hakushu-cho, Hokuto City. Masu. In particular, Chardonnay and Koshu have won awards at the Japan Wine Competition for eight consecutive years, and their quality has been highly praised both domestically and internationally. Chateau Jun continues to produce outstanding wines while inheriting Katsunuma's winemaking tradition, which boasts a history of over 130 years.
