Kinjo Wine Co., Ltd. originated from the Akasaka Brewing Association, which was jointly established by neighboring grape farmers in 1939, and changed its name to its current name in 1963. The name ``Nishiki Castle'' comes from the name of the mansion of a powerful clan that served the Takeda clan during the Sengoku period. In 1985, we began selling to the general market, and as a member of the Katsunuma Wineries Club, we participate in the production of carefully selected wines rooted in the region. In 2015, after long-time CEO Kazuaki Takano suddenly passed away, his wife, Yoshimi, took over as CEO, and with the support of other wineries and farmers, the company has expanded its business in the region with a focus on Koshu and Muscat Bailey A. We are continuing our efforts to protect the specialties of the area. Our aim is to grow high-quality grapes and continue to produce wine that is loved at Japanese dining tables.
